Some fact about electrolysis...
Q: How does electrolysis work?
A: A tiny probe is gently inserted into the hair follicle opening. The electrologist then directs a split second impulse into the hair root destroying the papilla, preventing it from producing another hair.
Q: Is it really permanent?
A: Yes! Hair will continue its growth cycle as long as the root system is intact. Once the root system has been destroyed, it can no longer produce another hair.
Q: What is the side effects?
A: Depending upon the area being treated, there maybe a small amount of redness and/or heat rash, however it will soon fade.
Q: Is it painful?
A: As this procedure does not puncture the skin, you will not feel the probe being inserted. You will feel a small sting or pinch sensation when the pulse of heat is directed into the root system. The amount of heat used depends upon the strength of the hair and the sensitivity of the skin.
Q: What is the cost?
A: As you are charged just for the length of time you are worked on, your electrologist can schedule your time to fit your budget. Compared with many other beauty treatments, the cost is moderate and can fit into most budgets.
Q: What is a C.P.E.-board certified electrologist?
A:
National Board Certification has long been the guide to consumers of health-care professionals.
The Certified Professional Electrologist proudly displays the "CPE" with her/his name and the "CPE" seal indicating the CPE has voluntary placed her/his knowledge and skill against national standards of exellence and has met or exceeded the national norms. It's the patient/client's assurance of professionalism.
